One common characteristic of humanity is curiosity. Tell a person to not do something and he starts asking, "why?" He wants to know what the thing his made of, etc. This is why children, from their young ages, taste (and want to taste) everything they come across. It's not our faults, actually. We were born with it. It's human.
This is also the reason people have always wanted to know the mystery behind God and Satan; why they want to be sure the Bible is true and not some carefully carved lies. This is why there is science. This is why people have been questing for the essence of life, if physical death can be escaped, etc.
Identifying The Right/Truth.
1. Starts with identifying and acknowledging the being called Truth.
Am I being preachy? Am I just judging from the christian perspective without being universal?
Follow me. If God was truly a mirage as people claim, I don't think (S)He'll show love through what people call miracles. (S)He wouldn't be concerned about humanity through speaking, demonstrations, etc. It'd be my pleasure to clarify so many controversial questions about God in my blog. Questions like, "What's God's gender?" "Why evil is rampant in 'His" world when 'He' exist?”
Identifying the Truth called God starts with being vulnerable and honest with your opinion(s), about 'Him', being intentional in your quest to understand 'Him', talk to 'Him'/pray, try studying the Bible. YouVersion can always help.
2. Not being in a hurry to get answers. Calm down. Make researches, ask God, check if 'His' word agrees with it, ask trusted people, be discerning.
3. Read books. But read their reviews so as to be sure of the contents.
4. Affirmation.
Affirmation is another effective way to install positive message into your mindset.
Consistently confess, as you pray, that you won’t be moved nor fall for false theologies.
If this helped, kindly share with someone, at least.
